EMsculpt NEO

EMsculpt NEO is a non-surgical body sculpting device resulting in permanent fat reduction (30%) and muscle hypertrophy (growth by 25%) in the treated areas. By the time of your treatment, you have had a telephone and a personal consultation with Dr Bela, so you understand the EMsculpt NEO dual technology, the benefits and what you can expect during the treatment.

You arrive at Dr Bela Clinic at the Hogarth Medispa on the treatment day in comfortable clothing and well-hydrated. There is a brief recap of the essential details, then you remove all metallic accessories, including your phone, and we put it at a safe distance from the magnetic field.

Before-pictures will be taken of the treatment areas in- multiple angles (consent required)

Then you take a comfortable position on the couch, allowing the best access to the treated area. If the clothing covers it, we lift it away, allowing skin contact with the applicator.
For men with hair in the treatment area, it has to be trimmed short to prevent overheating skin.

Then the EMsculpt NEO applicator is fitted with elastic bands to the treatment area, and the therapist ensures its firm and best positioned.

Then the treatment starts on 100% RF setting to warm up the muscle to its optimal exercise temperature (41C within 2min) and to heat the fat to a temperature where the fat cells shrink and a part of them enter into a programmed cell death phase (apoptosis around 43-45C within 4min).

So, the first 4 minutes of the treatment is a warm-up, similar to any exercise, since you will make and the equivalent of over 20 thousand sit-ups or push-ups in the next 30 minutes.

Once the warm-up is over, start the exercise itself. The strength of the HIEMF is pushed up gradually to increase the level of muscle contraction based on your tolerance, while the RF is kept at 100%, ideally to ensure fat burn.

No, there isn’t any downtime after your EMsculpt NEO treatment. You can expect a very mild transient erythema of the treatment area.
